Watch the video of Monday’s crash at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway
It’s the week of the Indy 500. It’s the biggest open-wheel race of the season at the 2.5-mile Indianapolis, Indiana track.
Yesterday, cars were on track for qualifying and the starting grid has been set. Today, the field rolled to the track for practice seven ahead of Sunday’s race.
Alexander Rossi wiggled and spun in turn two. The car went across the track backwards making hard contact with the outside wall.
The impact was enough to lift the car off the ground. The right rear wheel got on top of the wall.
Pato O’Ward spun into the scene. He slammed into the side of Rossi after he bounced off the wall.
Romain Grosjean also spun into the scene. He made light contact with the outside wall.
