NASCAR driver Chandler Smith is moving a different direction in 2027
Since 2025, Chandler Smith has raced full-time for Front Row Motorsports in the NASCAR Truck Series. He pilots the No. 38 truck.
For 2027, Smith is moving in a different direction. The team posted an update today confirming the move.
It’s rumored the 24-year-old driver has already signed a deal for an O’Reilly Series ride but that deal has not been announced. In 71 O’Reilly Series starts, Smith has three race wins, with his most recent in 2024.
Front Row Motorsports statement:
“Chandler Smith will not return to Front Row Motorsports in 2027,” the team opened.
“We would like to extend our gratitude to Chandler for being a great representative of our CRAFTSMAN Truck Series program. The list of accomplishments that he and the No. 38 team have obtained are impressive, with four wins to-date over the past two seasons, and we wish him the best on his continued career path.”
“The team will remain committed to competing at the highest level in the series and contending for championships, for the remainder of 2026 and beyond. Additional updated on our 2027 plans will be shared when available.”
