Front Row Motorsports penalty upheld by appeals panel

The team was disqualified after finishing 2nd at Las Vegas Motor Speedway

Last week, Zane Smith finished the NASCAR Truck Series event in 2nd place. However, following post-race inspection, the team was found in violation with a lug nut penalty.

Due to the number of loose or missing lugs, the penalty was ruled a disqualification. Smith was relegated to a last-place finish.

Violation: 14.16.1 (Wheel Assembly – 1-4 Lug Nuts)

Front Row Motorsports elected to appeal the penalty. That hearing has taken place and the ruling is now final.

The National Motorsports Appeals penal heard the appeal from Front Row Motorsports. They have elected to uphold the penalty to Front Row Motorsports.
