NASCAR starting positions for the heat races at North Wilkesboro Speedway
This weekend, it’s the NASCAR All-Star Race at North Wilkesboro Speedway. NASCAR Cup Series drivers are set to race for $1M on Sunday.

This is a unique qualifying session as the pit crews are involved. The fastest pit stop from the ‘Pit Crew Challenge’ will start from the pole position in heat one.
The timing for the pit stop begins one stall before the pit box, the final timing line ends on the box directly following the stall. Thus, the length of the pit stops will be timing different than a normal race weekend.
Penalties are in play. NASCAR will torque all four wheels after the pit stop as teams are required to get all four wheels tight following the tire change.
The winning team will also be handed a $100,000 bonus for the fastest pit stop.
Before Sunday’s main event, the field will be split into two heat races. All of the drivers in the heat races are already locked into the main event.
The All-Star Open is an LCQ for the drivers that won’t take part in the heat races as they have yet to qualify for the race. This qualifying session will also set the lineups for the All-Star Open.
Ty Gibbs and the Joe Gibbs Racing team clicked off the fastest pit stop overall with Open and All-Star entries combined. The team turned a 13.012 and Gibbs will start from the pole position in the All-Star Open with the result.
