Hot Laps / Qualifying – Report
Scott Bloomquist is quickest in hot laps. He circled the speedway at 15.678. He was in the 3rd qualifying group. Each group was faster than the next.
He backs it up in qualifying. Scott Bloomquist takes the pole position with a 15.402.
Heat 1 – Report
Scott Bloomquist and Darrell Lanigan will lead the field to the green flag in the first heat race of the night. Green, Bloomquist gets the jump. He leads into turn 1 on the bottom.
Dennis Erb Jr has a run on Lanigan off turn 2. Erb cuts to the inside heading into turn 3. Lanigan pinches him. He might not have known he was there. Erb and Lanigan bangs fenders and Erb lightly tags the inside wall. They both continue.
Scott Bloomquist drives away. He takes the win in heat race number one!
Heat 2 – Report
Jonathan Davenport and Josh Richards trail the pace truck ahead of heat race number two. These two championship contenders got into each other last night. Davenport was upset and Richards was apologetic. Tonight, they share the front row in a heat race. That’s how it always works out.
Green, Davenport noses ahead at the line. Richards powers to the outside in turn 1. Richards takes the lead off turn 2.
This place is bad fast. The field spreads out along the inside wall, hard on the gas.
5 to go, Richards leads Davenport by 10 car lengths.
Davenport is coming quick. 1 lap to go and he’s within 3 car lengths of the leader. Davenport drives it deep into turn 3, he pulls to the rear bumper of Richards. They run nose to tail at the flag.
Josh Richards wins heat race number two!
Heat 3 – Report
Bobby Pierce and Scott Ward trail the pace truck ahead of the final heat race of the night at the Jackson Motorplex. Green, Zeigler looks inside of Ward at the line and Hudson O’Neal looks inside Zeigler. They fight for space into turn 1. Hudson O’Neal sides way up the hill.
Yellow, false start.
Green, Pierce leads. Zeigler and Ward nearly make contact at the line. Zeigler has a run on the bottom for 2nd. He looks low in turn 3, Zeigler takes over 2nd.
Bobby Pierce drives away to win the final heat race at the Jackson Motorplex!
Main Event – Report
Scott Bloomquist and Josh Richards lead the field to the green flag at the Jackson Motorplex. It’s a 50 lap main event. A 4 wide salute for the crowd and we’re ready to go racing!
Green, Scott Bloomquist gets the jump. Richards, Lanigan, Pierce and Davenport are trying to make it 4 wide for 2nd in turn 2.
Trouble behind them! Hudson O’Neal is parked on top of another car in turn 2. Brandon Sheppard and Earl Pearson Jr are also in the parking lot. Red flag.
Green, Bloomquist leads into turn 1. Pierce dives to the bottom, he takes 2 spots and climbs to 2nd in turn 1.
Lap 10, Bloomquist is deep in lap traffic. Pierce makes up several car lengths. He closes right to his rear bumper. Richards and Davenport join the train as well. Bloomquist is around the lapper. The caution is out.
Green, Lanigan gets sideways off turn 2. He slides across the track. Tim McCreadie comes into the scene with nowhere to go. Several cars are collected including Don O’Neal and Mason Zeigler.
Green, Bloomquist leads. Davenport and Pierce fight for 2nd. Davenport runs the top with Pierce on the bottom. Side by side for several laps, Davenport wins the battle.
Satterlee is all torn up in turn 2. Steam flows from the engine compartment and the yellow is back out.
Green, Bloomquist leads. Pierce retakes 2nd into turn 1. Davenport is coming around the top. Back in turn 1, Davenport slides Pierce for 2nd. Pierce tries to cross him, it doesn’t work. Davenport holds 2nd as Bloomquist leads by 20 car lengths.
Lap 34, Bloomquist is catching lap traffic. Davenport is closing. Caution, Jimmy Owens is slow on track.
Green, Richards to 2nd on the bottom. Davenport fights back on the outside. Davenport retakes 2nd off turn 4. Bloomquist leads by 10 car lengths.
10 to go, nearly the entire field has moved to the cushion including the race leader. Inch by inch and lap by lap, Davenport is once again closing on Bloomquist.
5 to go, Bloomquist leads by 3 car lengths over Davenport. Richards has closed to the rear bumper of Davenport and Pierce is just behind him. Sheppard joins them. The top 5 run nose to tail.
1 to go, Sheppard has smoke trailing his race car. He loses ground to the leader.

Tomorrow night, the tour returns to I-80 Speedway for a mini marathon at the Nebraska dirt track. The NE track will feature a Thursday night special followed by a separate two day show on Friday-Saturday.
