Rain has been in the area all day. Not only are drivers seeing this track for the first time this weekend but now they’re racing in the rain.
7 cars will be sent home early at the conclusion of this qualifying session. There’s many new faces in the garage area as multiple drivers make their NASCAR debut.

Round one of knockout qualifying is 25 minutes. The top 12 will advance into round two.
Justin Haley is quickest so far with a 162.826. But, the surprise is 2nd place Spencer Pumpelly in his NASCAR debut.
16 minutes remain in round one, Bayley Currey has stalled on track and the red flag is out.
14 minutes remain, Kyle Busch spins.
10 minutes remain, Noah Gragson is off track in turn one. He locked up the tires and landed in the rocks. Gragson is now stuck and will need a tow. The red flag is out as a result.
3 minutes remain, Ross Chastain jumps to the top of the board. Chastain is filling in for Joe Graf Jr.
Int he closing seconds, Boris Said jumps from 41st to 19th! He’ll be in the show with that lap.

Round two is 10 minutes. Twelve drivers are running for the pole position. 7 of the 12 drivers are running double-duty this weekend. Track time has proven important already.
3 minutes remain in round two, Kyle Busch is fastest overall as everyone has turned just one lap so far. Some will elect to run two laps.
