Round 2
The top 6 from each group now advance into Round 2. Only the top 6 advance.
Alex Palou locks up on his warmup lap in round two. He does it again on his first timed lap.
7 minutes remain in round two, Pato O’Ward is off track into turn one. He locked up, ran into the dirt and returned to the track.
3 minutes remain, Askew sits at the top of the board with a 1:11.6808. Multiple teams are on flying laps.
1 minute remains, Askew has been bumped out of the top 6! Will Power to the top of the board in the closing seconds.
45 seconds remain, Graham Rahal spins in the final corner.
Time is expired, Colton Herta jumps to the top of the baord as flying laps count. Askew jumps back into the top 6.

Round 3
The top six from round two have advanced into the final round. This is the run for the Indycar pole position.
The green is out on the brief 5 minutes session. Will Power is the first car on the track but with black tires installed. Power doesn’t complete the lap and returns to the pit lane.
4 minutes remain, Askew and others hit the track on used reds.
2 minutes remain, car off track.
1 minute remains, Power sits at the top of the board with a 1:11.1317.
Palou is loose and chasing his machine all over the track. He’s also scrapping the ground on low air pressure.
30 seconds remain, Herta to the top of the board. Power is flying but O’Ward spins in the crockscrew!
Power jumps to the top of the board. However, he passed O’Ward as he sat in the dirt on that lap. That time has been disallowed.
Seconds remain, Herta jumps back to the top of the board.
Colton Herta will start from the pole position at Laguna Seca!
