NASCAR results from the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway

Tonight, it’s the longest race of the NASCAR Cup Series season. They’re set to drop the green flag on the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Charlotte Race
Stage 1 – Report

Laps: 100 (1-100 / 400)

Green flag, Hamlin is clear into turn turn one with a push from Kyle Busch. Kurt Busch fights back on the inside.

Lap 4, they remain side by side at the front. Kurt Busch bobbles on the inside lane. Hamlin finally clears him.

Lap 10, Kyle Busch slides Hamlin for the lead into turn one.

Lap 18, Ryan Preece spins on his own. Chris Buescher and Noah Gragson both spin behind him as they try to avoid it, caution. No major damage for any of them.

Pit Penalties: Ryan Blaney and Martin Truex Jr drop to the rear after speeding on the pit lane.

Josh Bilicki spins, caution.

Pit Penalty: Larson will drop to the rear after removing the air gun from his pit box.

Lap 46, Daniel Suarez drives deep to the inside of Kyle Busch for the lead. Suarez forces Busch wide, Busch gets loose, he skates up the banking and tags the wall lightly with the right rear. Busch is around, caution.

Lap 53, Larson enters high in turn three. He gets loose and brushes the wall lightly, no caution.

Lap 61

Lap 61, Corey LaJoie spins with a flat tire, caution.

Suarez leads the field to the pit entry, Chase Elliott wins the race to the pit exit. Kyle Busch gets the free pass.

Pit Penalty: Larson will drop to the rear for the third time after a tire rolled out of the box. Justin Haley also drops to the rear.

8 to go in stage one, Tyler Reddick has closed to the bumper of Elliott in the battle for the lead.

Chase Elliott holds him off to win stage one at Charlotte Motor Speedway!

Stage 2 – Report

Laps: 100 (101-200 / 400)

Green flag on stage two, Chastain pushes Elliott clear into turn one.

Lap 111, Chastain dives inside of Elliott into turn one. He slides him into turn three, Chastain leads.

Lap 127, Bubba Wallace spins off turn four, caution.

Chastain leads them to the pit entry. Elliott wins the race to the pit exit.

Lap 145, Austin Cindric is in the wall after a flat left rear, caution.

Elliott leads most of the field to the pit lane. He’ll restart 3rd as Larson and Blaney stay out.

Pit Penalties: Todd Gilliland, Martin Truex Jr, Ricky Stenhouse Jr drop to the rear.

Green, Blaney slides Larson into turn one. With fresh tires, Chase Elliott drives it deep to the inside in turn three and he returns to the lead.

Lap 164

Lap 164, Ryan Blaney gets sideways on the top lane. He clips the wall with the right rear but keeps it going.

Lap 166, Kyle Larson spins off turn four, caution. Both drivers who restarted on old tires have spun in this stage.

Green, Elliott has to lift on the outside lane. Ross Chastain clears him on the inside.

Lap 186, Elliott slides Suarez for 2nd. He picks up a flat and spins, caution.

Green, Chastain is clear into turn one. Ryan Blaney clips the apron and gets loose on the inside lane. He spins and blocks the track.

Green with 4 to go in stage two, Chastain and Suarez run side by side for the lead. Suarez slides him in turn three to take the lead away.

Daniel Suarez wins stage two in the Coke 600!

Stage 3 – Report

Laps: 100 (201-300 / 400)

Suarez leads most of the leaders to the pit lane. Logano, Truex, Bell, Busch and Hamlin stay out.

Green flag on stage three, Logano leads Truex Jr off turn two. Suarez is running three wide through the middle and coming to the front behind them.

Lap 214, Suarez dives inside of Logano to take the lead.

Lap 220, Kevin Harvick gets loose and brushes the wall, caution. Ricky Stenhouse Jr brake checks Harvick under the yellow.

Suarez pits from the lead. Chastain and others stay out. Suarez restarts 18th.

Green, Chastain clears Logano into turn one.

Suarez has a run off turn two. He completes the pass for the lead in turn three.

Lap 253

Lap 253, Noah Gragson spins off turn four, caution.

Slow stop for Suarez as he’s boxed in behind Logano. Chastain wins the race to the pit exit.

Green, Chastain leads as Chase Briscoe takes 2nd away via the outside lane.

Lap 261, Briscoe slides Chastain for the lead in turn one. Chastain crosses under him off turn two and slides him back in turn three.

Lap 272, Christopher Bell has an issue and heads for the pit lane under green.

Lap 292, Kyle Busch pits under green after contact with the wall.

Ross Chastain cruises to the win in stage three of the Coca-Cola 600!

Stage 4 – Report

Laps: 100 (301-400 / 400)

Chastain leads the field to the pits. Tyler Reddick wins the race to the pit exit.

Pit Penalty: Bowman drops to the tail for an uncontrolled tire.

Green flag on stage four, Cole Custer pushes Reddick clear into turn one.

77 to go, Chastain has a run off turn two. He drives it deep to the inside and slides Reddick, Chastain to the lead.

60 to go, Tyler Reddick has a flat left rear, caution.

Big crash

Green, Custer pushes Chastain to the lead in turn one. Daniel Suarez clears himself on Chase Briscoe off turn four, not clear! Suarez bounces off the wall and collectes Chris Buescher. Buescher barrel rolls across the infield. The red flag is out but Buescher climbs out on his own power.

Green, Chastain is clear into turn one. Larson takes 2nd away.

47 to go, Larson slides Chastain in turn three. Larson takes the lead.

30 to go, Larson leads Briscoe by 1.2 seconds.

22 to go

22 to go, Briscoe has closed the gap to 0.3 seconds!

15 to go, Briscoe is on the bumper of Larson in the battle for the win. Larson is glued to the outside wall the full length of the track.

9 to go, Briscoe gets tight in dirty air and he loses several car lengths.

6 to go, Briscoe has climbed back to the bumper of Larson.

4 to go, Briscoe slides Larson for the lead. Larson squeezes between the wall and his right rear to hold the spot.

2 to go, Briscoe drives it deep to the inside in turn one. He gets sideways and spins! The caution is out.

Larson leads the leaders to the pit lane. Larson wins the race to the pit exit with two tires. Hamlin is off 5th, the first with four tires.

NASCAR Overtime

Green flag in NASCAR overtime, Larson and Chastain run side by side into turn one. Larson clears him off turn two.

Austin Dillon takes them four wide for 2nd into turn three! He clears all them and pulls even with Larson! Chastain works outside of Larson as Hamlin works inside of Dillon.

They run four wide for the lead off turn four! As they run out of room, Dillon is turned into the outside wall. Logano is clipped and he’s sent into the wall as well. Larson spins. The caution is out.

The yellow came before the white flag and they’ll rack the field again. Hamlin leads them to the restart.

Green, Hamlin leads into turn one. Kyle Busch works to his outside from row two! They run side by side off turn two.

1 to go, Busch and Hamlin remain side by side. They fight for space into turn one, Hamlin slides him. Hamlin is clear.

Denny Hamlin holds him off and takes the win in the Coca-Cola 600! It’s the longest Coke 600 in history.
