Indycar starting positions for the Detroit Grand Prix
This weekend, Indycar unloads in Belle Isle Park for the final time as this race moves Downtown in 2023. Today, the field is set for knockout qualifying to set the starting positions for Sunday’s race.

Romain Grosjean crashed on his final lap in round two. He tagged the wall, broke the rear suspension and slammed the wall as he spun in the next corner.
Josef Newgarden will start from the pole position. He turned a 1:15.2153 late in the Fast 6 qualifying session to jump to the top of the board.
