NASCAR driver Kurt Busch has placed his Mooresville, NC mansion up for sale. The home sits on Lake Norman (aka NASCAR lake).

The NASCAR mansion was constructed in 2007 on a half-acre of real estate. The 9,500 square foot home was purchased by the now Stewart-Haas Racing driver back in 2013 for #3.29 million.

The architecture is European-inspired. It features a multitude of windows which highlight the lake views from most corners of the home. Inside sits 4 bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms.

“This is my stayaction,” Kurt Busch says of his house in that video.

The office doubles as a trophy room. In there sits his NASCAR Cup Series championship trophy. In addition to the other 38 race winning NASCAR trophies the driver has collected.

“The five Bristol trophies. Those are my favorite,” Kurt Busch says.

One of the coolest pieces of NASCAR memorabilia in the room, isn’t a trophy. It’s a gift from Goodyear. When a drivers wins the championship, Goodyear produces a replica model of the championship car. It’s manufactured in pure gold.

“The gold car. Everything is so detailed on this trophy. The steering wheel, the tachometer [is] where I even had it. They way the hoses were routed inside the car. That was a replica of my championship winning car,” Kurt Busch explains.

But, it’s not just NASCAR trophies. The first trophy Kurt Busch ever won also sits in the room. That one came from a Nevada dirt track in 1994.

NASCAR drivers live on the road. From Friday-Sunday they are off at a race track for the majority of the year. That leaves 4 days at home. But, in between that sits shop meetings and sponsor appearances. There’s not much down time for a NASCAR driver these days.

“You gotta find time to recharge. This house isn’t too much trouble to recharge in. This is what it’s all about right here. That’s the lake life.”,” Kurt Busch explained.
