This is the lone practice session ahead of a rare Thursday night qualifying session. Daniel Hemric was quickest overall in the opening round of practice.
Landon Cassill turned the most laps in the opening round of NASCAR practice at Charlotte with 37 laps. Hemric turned just 8 laps in the session.
Chevrolet is dominating so far. Six of the top-10 drivers are in a Chevy.
