Shannon Babb to Team Zero Race Cars

Scott Bloomquist has a message for the dirt late model competition

Last year, Scott Bloomquist was out of the seat and recovering from injury. A motorcycle crash sidelined the veteran driver through some of the biggest races of the 2019 season.

While Bloomquist recovered, the famed dirt late model team signed ‘The Moweaqua Missile’ to fill the seat in some major events. The first on the schedule was the Show Me 100 at Lucas Oil Speedway. That entire event was postponed due to a tornado that ripped through the complex.

Next, Babb also drove a Bloomquist ride at Eldora Speedway in the 25th running of the Dirt Late Model Dream.

Shannon Babb comments after 2019 Bloomquist test

The Illinois racer ran a test of the chassis ahead of the 2019 events:

“The test was unbelievable, when you have a car that feels so much different and has that kind of speed it certainly makes it hard to think about not being able to finish the deal” Shannon Babb stated.

“Of course you want Scott to return, so it’s bitter sweet when that happens, but thankfully Scott and Cody [Sommer] have given me the opportunity to run the car at the Dream.”

“I couldn’t be more excited about this weekends race,” Babb concluded in 2019.

Now, a new dirt late model season struggles to get underway given postponements. However, teams are still prepping the machines and will be ready to hit the race track.

Shannon Babb will be doing so in a new Team Zero chassis. He previously piloted a Rocket Chassis machine.

“This world is coming to Zero domination,” Scott Bloomquist stated via the social media video below.

“Shannon Babb is getting a brand new car. We used finished it.”

“We’re going to start putting some fucking serious heat on the fucking competition. So, there,” Bloomquist concluded.

Shannon Babb is a four-time champion of the DIRTcar UMP Summer Nationals with 98 wins on The Hell Tour alone. He also has 12 World of Outlaws Late Model Series wins and another 12 Lucas Oil Late Modle Dirt Series wins.

Scott Bloomquist is a three-time Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series champion. He also has an Xtreme DirtCar Series title to his credit along with three DIRTcar UMP Summer Nationals championships.
