NASCAR test scheduled for Phoenix Raceway

A new short track package is set to be tested in December

NASCAR has an issue with their short-track package. Passing is much harder with the new car than it was with the previous generation.

The same package is also used on road courses.

Since the launch of the Next Gen car, NASCAR has attempted to fix the issue. They have tried a long list of aerodynamic adjustments, even taking off the rear spoiler.

Recently, NASCAR noted that they are now open to the idea of adding more horsepower.

A test has been scheduled for Phoenix Raceway on December 5-6. They’ll continue to work on the short track package.

Six teams will take part in the test, two from each manufacturer.
