Cody Ware lost all his sponsors following NASCAR suspension

NASCAR driver is hoping for a return to the NASCAR Cup Series

Cody Ware was signed to race full-time for Rick Ware Racing in 2023. In April, a woman called police to report an alleged domestic dispute.

Hear from Cody Ware below.

He was arrested in North Carolina on April 10. He posted bond of $3,000. Then, was arrested once again with a new bail set at $5,000.

The charges were eventually dropped. The dismissal came as both sides refused testimony.

Both Cody Ware and Rick Ware Racing opened lawsuits against the former girlfriend of Ware. They noted the loss of sponsorship as a result of the charges.

In December, Ware’s NASCAR suspension was lifted. Now, he’s looking to return to the NASCAR Cup Series with his father’s team.

Cody Ware comments on 2024 plans

Cody Ware has yet to sign a NASCAR deal for 2024.

Rick Ware Racing has signed Justin Haley to race full-time in the No. 51 car in 2024. Additionally, Kaz Grala has signed to race 25 races with the teams second entry via the No. 15.

For a portion if not all of the remaining races in the No. 15 it appears Cody Ware is working on a deal.

“Not set in stone, but tentatively plans are to be back in the Cup car in April,” Ware stated, via The Daytona Beach News-Journal.

“We’re dotting our I’s and crossing our T’s there, with sponsorships and getting everything lined up.”

He added, “After my suspension last year, I lost the majority of my sponsorships, so we’re trying to build everything back up after that.”

The 28-year-old has 97 career starts in the NASCAR Cup Series. He’s collected 1 top-10 which came during the 2022 season.
