Joey Logano flustered after getting wrecked at Phoenix (Video)

John Hunter Nemechek dumped Joey Logano in the NASCAR race at Phoenix Raceway

On Sunday, NASCAR raced at Phoenix Raceway. The 1-mile track saw the debut of a new aero package but for many, it was still very difficult to pass.

Watch the Joey Logano vs John Hunter Nemechek video below.

On lap 205, Joey Logano and rookie John Hunter Nemechek were racing for 25th place. Nemechek drove it deep into turn one tagging the rear bumper of Logano.

Logano was sent spinning across the track. He collected Corey LaJoie, Josh Berry, Derek Kraus and Zane Smith.

Logano exited Phoenix Raceway on the hook, putting an end to a terrible day.

On the radio, Nemechek voiced his view of what happened over the team radio,”My bad, man. I didn’t mean to get into the 22. He slowed up way early.”

The team responded,”10-4, I got you on that.”

Joey Logano comments

“I just got hit from behind,” Joey Logano told Bob Pockrass after the race.

“He over drove the corner behind me and wrecked us. It’s a shame. We weren’t running good, at all, anyways. But, this doesn’t make it any better.”

“Just racing for lucky dogs. You get back there and everyone’s not racing real good. We got caught up in one.”

Nemechek said Logano slowed too much. Logano couldn’t disagree more…

“I didn’t slow a bit. Well, you gotta lift to make the corners. You can’t hold it wide open around Phoenix.”

“Maybe he should take a look and realize he can’t do that too. He drove straight in the back of me.”

“He needs to be man enough to own up to that.”
