Race Report
Green flag, Kirkwood drives it deep on the outside into the first corner. He wins the battle at the exit and has the inside for turn three. After the bold outside move, Kirkwood leads up the hill! Will Power is shoved into the sand behind them, no caution.
Lap 16, Kirkwood leads but Palou is all over his bumper. He’s going to look to make a pass during the upcoming pit cycle.
Lap 25, Kirkwood pits from the race lead.
Lap 35, Luca Ghiotto is off track and he’s found the tire barrier. Heavy damage and the caution is out.
Many drivers head for the pit lane. Alex Palou stays out and cycles to the race lead.
Green, Palou leads as Romain Grosjean works the outside of O’Ward to take 2nd away. Siegel is off in the sand behind them and the caution is back out.
Green, Palou leads Grosjean.
Lap 55, another pit cycle is underway. Palou pits from the lead.
Lap 64, Palou leads Herta by 1 second.
Lap 70, Palou pits from the lead for the final green flag stop.

21 to go, Newgarden heads to the pit lane. Palou cycles back to the race lead. Marcus Armstrong is off track and stuck in the sand, caution.
Green, Palou leads Newgarden into turn one. Christian Lundgaard jumps through the corkscrew and goes for a wild rise but he saves it, no caution.
Newgarden runs wide and finds the sand. He keeps it rolling as Herta takes over 2nd.
13 to go, Jack Harvey is up in smoke and stalled on the track, caution.
Green, Herta has a look on the outside of Palou into turn one. He lifts and Palou holds the lead.
9 to go, Kyffin Simpson drops a wheel and spins across the track. Graham Rahal is collected. The caution is out.
Green with 4 to go, Palou leads Herta by a car lengths into turn one.
2 to go, Josef Newgarden is off track and in the sand. No caution as he’s able to climb out.
