INDYCAR iRacing Series announced; Indy drivers set for online racing

Online racing takes center stage during coronavirus outbreak
Millions of race fans around the world are sitting at home with no sporting events to watch. Self-isolating as we await the virus to pass us by.
INDYCAR is currently postponed through May 9 when the series is scheduled to return to Indianapolis. The online world is free from Coronavirus.
For the next seven weeks, INDYCAR drivers will fire up their computers and take to tracks in a digital world.
INDYCAR drivers will take part using their own liveries in evenly matched equipment. The official entry list will be released next week. However, a teaser video gave us a possible list of drivers that are likely to compete.
INDYCAR iRacing Drivers: Josef Newgarden, Alexander Rossi, Patricio O’Ward, Graham Rahal, Simon Pagenaud, Will Power, Oliver Askew, Santino Ferrucci, Alex Palou, Jack Harvey, Tony Kanaan, Dalton Kellett, Sage Karam, Felipe Nasr and Scott McLaughlin.
Note: Drivers may be added or removed from the unofficial list above.
Avid race fans with get a chance to watch their favorite INDYCAR drivers battle wheel-to-wheel on digital versions of INDYCAR circuits. iRacing is by far the most realistic racing simulator out there in the market.
It’s sure to produce some exciting content for the avid racing fans at home, across the glove.
Several INDYCAR tracks are not in the iRacing service. On those weeks, tracks are determined by the fans, drivers and random draws. A series of voting brackets will set the opening week.
The weekly series will run on Saturday’s. Each race will air at 4:00pm ET. The duration of races are expected to run from 90 minutes to 2 hours.
The first race is set for March 28, 2020.
How to watch? INDYCAR will show each race live on their website. Additionally, it can be viewed on the iRacing Twitch account.
