Dale Earnhardt Jr expected more details, regarding fatherhood advice

Dale Earnhardt Jr: “Nobody told me about the bump being — not symmetrical.”

Dale Earnhardt Jr and Amy Earnhardt are expecting their first child in the last week of April or the first week of May.

There’s a lot of new experiences for Dale Earnhardt Jr outside of the race car. In addition, there’s some new found discoveries about the basic of life.

“First off, Amy’s doing great and she’s feeling good. So we’re blessed on that front,” Dale Earnhardt Jr opened his story in a Q&A at Daytona.

“You hear the same advice, every day. For guys that haven’t had kids. Everybody’s gunna say, ‘Get your rest now.’ You’re going to hear that over and over and over.”

“They don’t give you any other advice. Just get your rest. They don’t tell you about the bump and all the things after that.”

“You go in worrying about all kinds of things that probably don’t matter at all. You don’t get that advice from nobody, just the rest part.”

“Nobody told me about the bump being — not symmetrical,” Dale Earnhardt Jr states his revelation to a crowd of full blown laughter.

“I’ve walked around. Whenever I see somebody that’s pregnant — I don’t stare at their belly. But, when I look at it — It looks round. Right?”

“Um, it’s not always round. It’s different shapes! Everybody was telling me about how when you start the see the baby move in there, it’s really cool. It is cool.”

“It’s great. But, it really is moving a lot. It’s like it’s turning donuts in there. Last night, it was wavy. Awesome! But, weird…”

“An equal amount of awesome and equal amount of shock.”

“She’s loving it. She’s sitting there going, ‘This is awesome.’ And I love it too. But, it’s just nobody told me about that part.”

“I just thought every belly was a perfectly round belly. And man, it’s so not that way at all.”

“It moves around in there. It’s doing it’s own thing. It’s like it’s got no chaperone and it’s just in there doing whatever it wants.”

Dangerous Summer Break In

One side note on the subject of Dale Jr: I think every Dale Jr podcast from 2017 featured songs from The Dangerous Summer. He also brought the band to see their first NASCAR race in addition to having them on as guests to his podcast.

Last night, the band stopped for food while on tour in Albuqueque, New Mexico. Their van was broken into.

The band and crew stashed cash, passports, laptops, demos and recordings inside as they went to eat. It was all stolen.

The Band CAMINO set up a GoFundMe page for them with a goal amount of $10,000. 20 minutes later, Dale Earnhardt Jr donated $5,000 to help get the band back on their feet.
