Heat 1 – Report
Kyle Bronson and Jimmy Owens set the front row in the first heat race of the night. Green, Bronson to the bottom in turn one. He clears himself just ahead if the nose of Owens off turn two.
Owens crosses under him off the corner. He heads to the bottom in turn two and takes the lead.
Back in turn one, Bronson heads to the top. He drives around Owens on the outside!
Next lap, Bronson jumps the cushion in turn one. Brandon rubs the wall as Owens drives right by on the bottom.
Jimmy Owens takes the win in heat race number one!
Heat 2 – Report
Josh Richards and Kody Evans lead them to the starting line in heat two. Green, O’Neal takes them three wide into turn one! O’Neal slides them all, false start.
Green, Richards leads into turn one. O’Neal takes McCreadie three wide and Neal holds 2nd off turn two.
Several cars tangle in turn four and the caution is out.
Green, Richards leads O’Neal. Kody Evans is on the cushion and the gas, he takes over 2nd on the outside.
Lap 7, Richards, Evans and O’Neal run nose to tail around the top. O’Neal gives the bottom a try but bails.
Josh Richards takes the win in heat two!
Heat 3 – Report
Jonathan Davenport and Michael Norris head to the flag stand in heat three. Green, Davenport leads into turn one.
Norris gets closed up in the middle of the cars. Several cars bunch up but he holds 2nd off turn two.
Lap 7, car around in turn three. The yellow is out but cars were already coming. Moderate contact for Mills as he weren’t able to slow up in time.
Green, Davenport leads. Marlar is clear of Norris at the flag stand.

Heat 4 – Report
Jared Hawkins and Boom Briggs trail the pace truck ahead of the final heat race of the weekend. Green, Hawkins leads into turn one. They run four wide into turn one for 4th on back! They all survive.
Briggs pulls a fender on the leader. Briggs drives to the lead. The race for 3rd is heated as Rice tags the wall and Lanigan gets crossed up to avoid him.
Lap 6, slow car in turn two and the caution is out.
Green, Robinson has found speed on the bottom. He takes over 2nd off turn two. He’s not done, Robinson to the bottom in turn three and the lead off turn four!
2 to go, Landers is slow. He pulls to the infield.
Kent Robinson wins the final heat race of the night! Lanigan slides Briggs for 2nd off the final corner.
Main Event – Report
Heavy track prep has taken place ahead of the main event. Water has been dropped all over and its been smoothed out from top to bottom.
The field pulls onto the Kentucky dirt track. Jimmy Owens and Jonathan Davenport trail the pace truck for the 50 lap main event at the half mile dirt oval.
They line up in a four wide salute for the dirt racing fans. $12,000 is on the line and the start is up next…
Green flag, they run even into turn one. They remain side by side off turn two.
Tyler Erb has a look and thinks about making it three wide on the bottom into turn three, he lifts. Davenport leads off turn four.
Lap 5, the track is super fast. Owens is still working Davenport on the bottom.
Lap 10, Davenport leads by 8 car lengths. Heavy lap traffic ahead.
Lap 12, Owens has a look on the bottom into turn one. He pulls ahead through the center of the corner but Davenport swings back around on the outside as they exit the corner.
Lap 19, a lap car gets into the left rear of Davenport. Spring steel, no damage. Davenport is now slicing quicker through lap traffic than Owens.
Lap 24, Richards has a run on Erb for 3rd into turn one. He drives it deep to the bottom. Richards slides him, light contact if any and Richards has the position.
Lap 34, Davenport and Owens have both moved to the cushion. Owens is running him down but he jumps the cushion in turn four and makes light contact with the wall.
Lap 43, Hudson O’Neal has moved to 4th. He’s on the bumper of Richards with lap traffic ahead. O’Neal takes them 3 wide and moves to 3rd.
Richards takes the spot back. Hudson O’Neal slides him off turn four.
Davenport is taking it easy on the lap cars. Owens is closing.
Final lap, Owens has closed to within a car length but he’s going to come up short.
They went caution free. Jonathan Davenport wins at Florence Speedway!
