The field is split into two groups for the opening round of qualifying. The top five from each group advance into the final round and make another run for the pole.

Kyle Larson got loose and nearly spun off turn four on his first lap of qualifying. That also hurt his second lap and he qualified last in group A qualifying after turning the fastest lap in practice.
Christopher Bell will start from the pole position. He turned a lap at 15.109 seconds.
