Ricky Stenhouse Jr pulled down John Hunter Nemechek’s window net to have a talk in the Busch Clash; Here’s the incident that led to that heated discussion between NASCAR drivers
On Saturday night, NASCAR rolled into Los Angeles, California. The 1/4-mile bullring inside the LA Coliseum brought a number of feuds to the surface.
In the first half of the race, John Hunter Nemechek dove under Ricky Stenhosue Jr and Brad Keselowski.
Ricky Stenhouse Jr’s spotted came on the radio, “Diving in, diving in.”
He made it three wide and doored Stenhouse Jr for the spot.
In the very next corner, Stenhouse Jr drove it deep into the corner. He tried to reach the bumper of Nemechek, a swing and a miss as Nemechek made another 3 wide move on the inside ahead of him. As Stenhouse Jr missed the corner, he knocked Keselowski in the left rear.
A lap later, the caution came out. While under the yellow, Stenhouse drove into the rear bumper of Nemechek several times.
Unlike most events, The Busch Clash has a halfway break. Due to limited space on the infield, the pit stops are controlled. All cars head for the infield and the teams are able to make adjustments within a set time.
During the break, most drivers stay in their cars as the break isn’t very long. Yet, Stenhouse Jr got out of his car.
He walked over to Nemechek’s car. He reached for the window latch, undid it and reached inside the car to have a talk with Nemechek.
The Toyota crew members began circling the car but they let the two drivers talk it out.
