Every race of the new series will air on Saturday night’s. Additionally, all races will be shown LIVE via CBS.
The season opener is just a few months away. However, we haven’t seen any photos of the full car, until now.
On Monday, legendary racer Ken Schrader was invited to be the first test driver of the new machine. Schrader unloaded the car with Ray Evernham at Caraway Speedway.
Caraway Speedway is a .455-mile asphalt oval. The bullring is located near Asheboro, North Carolina.
Originally, the car was fitted with a large front splitter in graphic renderings. Following a mass of hate for the splitter, Ray Evernham went back to the drawing board and had it removed.
The car is designed to dramatically decrease aerodynamic dependencies. Everything from the nose to the tail is a part of that.
The new series will run on a mix of dirt tracks and asphalt tracks. All of them are on the smaller side.
SRX Drivers: Tony Stewart, Tony Kanaan, Mark Webber, Willy T Ribbs, Paul Tracy, Helio Castroneves, Bobby LaBonte, Bill Elliott, Ernie Fancis Jr, Marco Andretti and Michael Waltrip.
