On Friday night, Bristol Motor Speedway hosted the opening race of the Xfinity Series playoffs. The half-mile track brought drama between the RCR drivers.
Both Creed and teammate Hill qualified horribly. Yet, toward the end of the race, they were both fighting for a decent finish.
The incident happened on lap 217 of 300. While racing for 8th, Creed ran the bottom lane while Hill rolled the top.
As they exited turn four, Creed tagged the left rear of Hill. It did appear that Hill was pinched down slightly off the outside wall in comparison to other cars running the outside lane.
Hill was sent toward the inside wall. He bounced off the inside wall and made more contact with the turn one wall.
Hill picked up heavy damage.
Austin Hill was noticeably upset after the incident. He declined all interviews.
